Eirini Tsirvouli works in the DLN project DrugLogics and recently received her PhD from NTNU. In her research she focuses on the computational modeling of diseases.
Selecting the best treatment for each unique patient
Thanks to her research, we may in the future be able to predict effective drug therapies for cancers and inflammatory conditions. Multi-omics analysis and logical modeling of biological systems can be a little complicated, but no worries! For this event Eirini will explain her very complicated research in an engaging and simple way, and the goal is that you should be able to retell her story at lunch without making too many blunders. Are you up for the challenge?
What’s the point of National Science Week?
The goal of research is to be open, accessible, and responsible. Popular science communication plays a crucial role in engaging society. The Centre for Digital Life Norway cooperates with several UiO faculties and the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Teknisk museum) to bring research to the public during Forskningsdagene/the National Science Week in Norway. Forskningsdagene takes place every autumn and is a nationwide event to make science and research available to the public. There will also be a science fair at the museum
