News from Centre for Digital Life Norway! – message from the centre leaders
Dear all,
DLN is a dynamic centre constantly in development. In October we had two changes in our Operational Management Team; on the one hand we are happy to welcome Andy Boyce as new coordinator/advisor. Andy will have his focus on the Innovation RoadMap activities. Prior to Andy´s onboarding, Henrik Lund started his position in the Innovation RoadMap in August. With our new colleagues we now have a very competent team dedicated to an increasingly important DLN activity; translating research to innovation. At the same time, we are sad that our competent coordinator/advisor Christoffer R Hals has left DLN. Christoffer is now employed in dScience at UiO which means that we will continue our close collaboration through his position there.
In the last week of October DLN engaged in the Open Access Week which is a national arrangement at university libraries. Including lectures and discussions open access publishing, open sharing of research data and best practices data management. You can also read about the DLN supported iGEM team fro UiO who will soon present their results at the international iGEM event in November.
Looking forward, our Life Science Research Data Management course is running and with three more session coming up; sign up for these highly useful courses!
