A successful EPB-Nor conference

EBP-Nor successfully hosted its second annual conference at Forskningsparken in Oslo on April 11-12. Over 100 participants from 21 different institutions around the world attended the conference.

The conference week began with a three-day bioinformatics workshop led by EBP-Nor members. The 30 participants enhanced their skills in bioinformatics tools and learned to analyze and interpret genome sequencing data effectively. Visit EBP-Nor's GitHub page for more information about the workshop content.

Kjetill S. Jakobsen speaks in front of the conference audience
EBP-Nor project leader and professor Kjetill S. Jakobsen started the conference by wishing everyone a warm welcome and held a short talk about the EBP-Nor project.

The conference itself focused on both biodiversity and genomics research, but also higlighting innovation. Four renowned researchers participated as keynote speakers: Aiofe McLysaght (Trinity College Dublin), Alexander Suh (Leibniz Institute for the Analyses of Biodiversity Change), Lene Lange (Founder and Owner of LL-Bioeconomy), and Olga Vinnere Petterson (Uppsala University). Additionally, 21 participants presented their work through "contributed talks" based on submitted abstracts.
