Call for nominees: ”Transdisciplinary publication of the year - 2019”

The centre will again give a special reward and attention to your transdisciplinary research efforts in the year that has passed.

A major aim of the digital life initiative is to create a convergence between life sciences and mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering. Working across disciplines is challenging and time consuming. We are therefore announcing research prize(s), in total 50 000,- NOK, for the best transdisciplinary publication(s) in the centre. Both digital life research projects and the associated partner projects can participate. The money will be transferred to the associated project(s) and can be spent within the frames set by governmental regulations.

The candidate study should fulfill the following criteria:

  • The study should include both experimental measurements and computational work on a biological system, or on an engineered device developed for its integration with a biological system.
  • The publication should come from a project within the portfolio of DLN research- or partner projects, with first or last author directly involved in the project.
  • The connection with the Centre for Digital Life Norway should be clear from the affiliation or acknowledgements. This is a requirement for DL research projects only. For the partner projects this point is not required, but highly appreciated.
  • The study should be published or accepted for publication in an international scientific journal. It should be an open access publication.

Please nominate your candidate study by following the link below. The submission should include a pdf of the paper / manuscript and an explanation of how it fits the criteria. The deadline is set to March 4th and we will announce the winner shortly after.
