Digital life researcher wants to become an Instagram influencer

Marta Eide in the digital life project dCod 1.0 at the University of Bergen has a new approach to communicate her research to people outside academia. On her Instagram account @marta_forskar, she shares drawings about environmental pollution, biotechnology and life as a researcher. She wants to show that research is not only for those who are particularly interested, but that it affects society and the everyday life of people. She hopes to be a fresh addition to established influencers in training, diet and fashion.

Marta Eide has received funding from the Centre for Digital Life Norway for her project. In connection with the National Science Week 16–27 September she hopes more people will become aware of her Instagram account.
