DLN Junior Resource Group – Call for new members

The Digital Life Norway (DLN) Junior Resource Group (JRG) is recruiting new members to be a voice of young researchers in the life sciences in Norway. A major focus of DLN is to train and support a new generation of transdisciplinary life scientists. The JRG provides advice and feedback that help shape the DLN’s activities to reach PhD students and postdocs.

The JRG is a resource for the Centre and the Research School. As a member, you get an opportunity to guide DLN to accommodate early-career researchers in Norwegian biotechnology. JRG members are often invited to represent younger researchers at various DLN events, such as strategic meetings, conferences, and policy forums. Learn more about the current JRG members.

The JRG tasks are varied and depend on the skills of the members. Some examples are giving input on event planning and execution, contributing to courses and activities in the Research School, reading and editing call proposals and applications, attending various meetings and the DLN annual conferences. The tasks are highly versatile and often open to personal preferences, so new JRG member(s) should be someone who takes initiative and engages in activities. JRG members perform tasks individually and collectively. The members of JRG are expected to attend 1-2 annual meetings in person to discuss strategy, current projects and other fun stuff, in addition to monthly digital meetings.
