Passion for diversity
Birte has a passion for diversity and inclusion and would like to see more women enrolled in STEM and biotechnology research and exploring ideas and opportunities for research-based innovation.
Ready to make things happen at DLN!
Birte likes to be challenged, to read and to learn, and her NORA colleagues describe her as strong, independent, good at speaking up, and that she makes things happen. What motivated her to take this position?
“I’ve followed DLN’s activities for a long time, and I have worked with establishing initiatives to strengthen research-based innovation and commercialization in NORA and NORA.startup. I see lots of opportunities to increase research intensive innovation in Norway within the field of biotechnology through the Innovation Roadmap, and I look forward to being an active contributor to the project moving forward!”
Scientific Director Trygve Brautaset is very happy to have Birte on board:
“Birte’s experience with innovation projects will provide valuable insight for our Innovation Roadmap pilots. Her focus on diversity and inclusion will also certainly be an asset.”
