ICUE
The ICUE project aims to use technology and methods previously used in cancer research to understand more about the characteristics of endometriosis tissue and explore new treatment options. The project team consists of researchers and experts from SINTEF, St. Olavs, OUS, KI, Endometrioseforeningen, Karolinska Institutet and NTNU, and is led by SINTEF’s Hanne Haslene Hox, who points out that
“transdiciplinary collaboration is critical for the success of the ICUE project. Through DLN we will gain access to tools and a broad network, further helping to achieve our project goals.”
Meat Inspector
The NMBU-led project Meat Inspector wishes to revolutionize how meat quality is monitored. This initiative brings together experts from NMBU, University of Oslo, Animalia AS, and Ard Innovation AS to create rapid, precise tools for identifying meat quality defects, initially focused on pork ham. The project aims to bridge the gap between meat quality and pathology analysis, as these are often linked. By collaborating closely with industry, the project ensures its solutions are practical, effective, and aligned with real-world needs.
NANOSPACER
NANOSPACER is designed to bring nanoscale observation into the hands of scientists using standard optical microscopes. The device—a transparent coverslip paired with a bottom substrate—creates a precise nanospace between layers, enabling high-resolution particle observation at the nanoscale. The project is based at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
"Honestly speaking, my motivation is to bring nanofluidics to the people and I think DLN is a great network to connect with researchers from various fields, in an inclusive community with high ethical standards"
explains project leader Oliver Vanderpoorten.
