Four new members to DLN’s Junior Resource Group
Earlier this semester, DLN invited young researchers to join the Junior Resource Group (JRG) and received excellent applications from around the country.
The JRG is a voice of young researchers in digital biotechnology in Norway and its members provide advice and feedback that help shape the Centre’s activities to reach PhD students and post-docs. We are therefore excited to welcome four new members to DLN’s JRG!
- Nancy Saana Banono, Postdoc, UiO
- Olga Mikhailova, Postdoc, NMBU
- Arsenii Zabirnyk, Postdoc, OUS
- Chidimma Phoebe Echebiri, PhD student, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences
These young researchers bring expertise on diverse research topics, ranging from zebrafish models of pediatric brain cancer, to socio-economic aspects of CRISPR in aquaculture, pharmacological treatment of heart valve calcification, and the human muscle transcriptome. They have been active participants in DLN and the DLN Research School, including one in the first cohort of DLN PhD industry interns, and have been student government leaders at various universities. Together with continuing JRG members Maria Bårdsen Hesjedal and Emil Karlsen, they will be a resource for the centre’s competence hub, DLN Research School, and the centre’s early career researchers.
We thank outgoing members Marte Jenssen, Eric Juskewitz, and Simona Kavaliauskiene for their contributions in helping establish the JRG as a central element in DLN 2.0 and serving as voices of young researchers in digital biotechnology in Norway.
