PhD course in Computational neuroscience

This course will give you theoretical insight and practical skills related to biophysics-based modelling of neurons, neural networks and associated brain signals.

The course will cover topics related to mathematical modelling of signal processing in nerve cells, neural coding and decoding, receptive fields in the visual system, information transmission in the nervous system, biophysics of nerve cells, biological neural networks, and learning and memory.

The course is supported by the Digital Life Norway Research School and travel and accommodation are free for our members if you apply for a travel grant.

 

Students from other universities than NMBU have to register as individual subject students at NMBU with a deadline of September 1st. Register here: https://www.nmbu.no/studier/opptak/soke_enkeltemner.

After registration at NMBU, the students can sign up for the course, which has a deadline of September 15th.
