Join us for an interactive session on navigating the interview process beyond academia. We’ll explore what interviewers are really assessing, how to prepare for common questions, and how to position yourself as a strong industry candidate. You’ll also gain insights into the common pitfalls PhDs face in interviews - and learn how to avoid them.
This workshop is led by Angela Priest, a hiring manager with over 20 years of experience across industries - from tech to insurance, and from small startups to large corporations.
You will learn:
- The structure of the interview process and who you will typically meet
- What each stage of the interview is designed to assess
- How to prepare strong answers to common interview questions
- The most frequent mistakes PhDs make in interviews - and how to avoid them
- How to market yourself effectively without sounding “too academic”
After the live session, you’ll gain exclusive access to Alma.me's online masterclass: a self-paced, interactive resource packed with examples, and exercises to help you refine and perfect your interviewing skills in your own time.
